GNU libunistring library
I'd like to write some code that requires the GNU libunistring library. Wondering what's the best way to install this library.

Hello Ken,
It depends. What kind of code is this? Will you be distributing it? Will it annoy you if you have to download and install it again? How skilled are you with Xcode?
Hey, thanx for responding! Good questions. I only want to write some C/C++ code for personal use to explore the many functions of the library, so, no, I have no plans to distribute it, let alone sell. I doubt that updates to the library will come fast enough to annoy me re-downloading it. I am not skilled at all with X-Code. I prefer to build using gcc and make commands at the Unix command prompt. I already have some code using this library, which I've built in this manner on Windows under Cygwin, and want to maintain this cross-platform environment.
Hello again Ken,
I just tried it and it seems pretty stable. I built it but I didn't install it. Just download the source from GNU, run "./configure", then "make", then "sudo make install".
Works perfectly! Just built my programs as-is from Windows/Cygwin. Many thanx! —Ken
