Help of needed for hashtag

Update to the latest IOS 8.3.

If the hashtag still doesn't print you can try an alternative keyboard. Mt favorite is Brightkey. It has the added bonus of when you move your finger left/right on the space bar the cursor moves.

If you don't want to install another keyboard copy the following hashtag then paste it into keyboard shortcuts. # Copy the hashtag. Go to settings> general> keyboard> shortcuts. Paste the hashtag then type ht as the shortcut. Tap save.

Maybe all you really need is a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons until the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. wait until your iPad starts on it's own.

I'm very sorry I accidently added a period. Go to the list of all your shortcuts. That's settings> general> keyboard> shortcuts> and tap hashtag shortcut you made. That takes you yo the next page Shortcut. Delete the period. Tap save.

I've had an ipad for awhile, but just recently switched over to iPhone 7 from Android. I'm very irritated that it takes two touches to get to the hashtag symbol. Why is it not on the first symbol screen??? Apple...pleeeeaasse take off the parenthesis or semi-colon/colon and ADD the hashtag symbol. It's used soooo much more.
