POP3 Set Up Solution?

Can i set up POP3?

When i try to set up my mail account (Sky) after entering my name, address and p/word my new Mac (OS X Y 10.10.3) automatically finds the settings and defaults to imap and will not let me choose pop. Is there a way to do a manual set up?

Internet answers suggest there is a field whereby you can choose POP or IMAP, however, the the auto set-up bypasses everything.

Once complete the incoming server box is greyed out and cannot be altered.
