Grey screen & os x utilities on start up

llast night I closed my MacBook Pro and all was working, this morning I have been confronted with this screen. No offers of Time Machine backups, if I choose Reinstall OS X I cannot as only the recovery HD option comes up and it is locked. Disk Utility I get Live File System repair is not supported on first option, sub directory (disk0s2) comes back with various (see pic), disk 1 sub - OS X Base System comes back clean.

i Need to know how, if it is possible, to get my data off the Macbook Pro. I have an external HD that I can capture on (which I thought about using yesterday to back up and ran out of time, so not been done in months) and I also have an iMac which I can hook up, but which doesn't have the data I need on either.

PLease help - I just cannot find an option anywhere - oh and safe boot just takes me to the same place.
