May 22, 2015 12:32 PM in response to Jcannonbby mainmazz,My heart rate is working after update 1.0.1, but not as it should. Just looked and saw my last heart rate was recorded almost an hour ago. It does record my heart rate every minute when I'm exercising. I understand heart rate should be recorded every ten minutes when not exercising. Mine isn't.

May 22, 2015 12:45 PM in response to Jcannonbby Al1984,HR updates during workouts still worked on 1.0.1 but today I got just 1 (one) reading during a short run (instead of 5 per minute as usual) which never happened on 1.0. I was not able to reproduce it again though.
Another thing I noticed is that I'm no longer able to reach my active calories goal (not sure if this is due to the HR bug or because they were overestimating active calories on 1.0 and fixed it on 1.0.1)

May 22, 2015 12:53 PM in response to Jcannonbby rosswords,Since my heartrate monitor is already working badly--enough so it's nearly useless for activity-tracking and calorie-counting--can someone tell me if there's anything else in the software update that would make it worthwhile for me to update? Or should I just sit it out until they fix this bug?

May 22, 2015 12:56 PM in response to rosswordsby Ripl3y,Me personally, I'd sit it out. I'm now having to wait for a fix

May 22, 2015 1:02 PM in response to Jcannonbby kirkmc,I was wondering if there's a correlation between heart rate issues and resting calories being overestimated, which I describe here;
The Apple Watch and Resting Calories
Anyone with problems with the heart rate sensor seeing this too?

It's ironic that for whatever reason mine is working exactly the way I want it to. When I'm at rest it records my HR every 10 minutes and when I engage an Exercise/Activity app it records several times a minute. I'm happy with it not recording a HR when I'm just running around or at work or whatever. Saves the battery. I just hope whatever fix comes out for the others doesn't screw up mine!

May 22, 2015 1:55 PM in response to kirkmcby Lohvarn,That's interesting. My BMR is off by 1/3 as well. It should be 1500 (according to the sites you mentioned, as well as Withings) but Activity says it's 2000.

May 22, 2015 2:12 PM in response to prk60091by Sarafina,My Watch arrived May 11th and I love it. Got the 42mm Melanese Loop. So classy. My brother and wife also got theirs on May 11th. We all ordered at the same time on April 10 about 1am in the morning? No problems so far, even after the update.
