Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
first second of several youtube videos is missing. yosemite 10.10.3, safari 8.0.6. clean reinstall didn't help. problem appears on several macs. apple support isn't able to help. no problems at all with google chrome and safari developer mode>user agent>safari 7.6.1.

could it be a hardware problem?
I checked it on another Macbook Yosemite 10.10.4/Safari 8.0.7 and the problem is still there! No problems with firefox/chrome. Who can help?

doesn't work. still the same problem with safari.
Do you have Mac OS X Install DVD? If so, try installing 10.6 or 10.5 in your Mac, then try it again. If not, downgrade it to Lion, Mountain Lion or Mavericks. Then try it again.
I don't have an install dvd and a downgrade is no solution for me. do you have any other idea?
Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
Restart the computer.
Start up in Safe Mode.
after a router reset I restarted the macbook in safe mode: youtube doesn't work, I can't start videos.
Leave Safe Mode and start up in normal mode.
Test.
You tested it with two Macs. It doesn't play.
I just played the video. I hear the sound. So it can't be the video.
I didn't play the whole video.
Do you run any anti-virus or other such third party software?
Do you use Click To Flash or AdBlock2?
Can you call your ISP and talk to them?
in normal mode I still have the old problem: the first second is without sound (sometimes 1-2 seconds).
I tested it with a friends mac (exactly the same macbook: mid 2012, Yosemite 10.10.4, Safari 8.0.7) at his office (different isp) and it's the same problem.
No anti-virus software, no extensions.
No problems with chrome and firefox!!!
today I tested 10 random youtube videos in safari: the sound of every video clip started 1 to 7 seconds too late. in chrome every clip was ok.
it also seems as is safari is getting slower and slower...
and why does it work perfectly when I use developer mode safari 7.1.7?
after testing for weeks I think I solved the problem!!!
if you click "get info" on "safari.app" you can see two entries for everyone in the permissions, both must be set to "read only".
the official apple support was not able to help...
I´ve been too early pleased - it works better, but there's still the tenth of a second missing...
who can help?
could it still be a permissions problem?
