Loosing DHCP

HI

We have 4 Airport extreme to manage our wifi. one is set up for guest access, the 3 others are setup as one network, acting as a bridge to our router. All connecte to our Infrastructure with the router giving away the IP for the non guest access.

From time to time devices on wifi (phone laptop etc) will loose internet connection. Seems like the DHCP is no longer giving IP addresses to devices connect to the airport. Wifi is still available, with good reception but impossible to surf the web.

Airport extreme are all available with green light and the stats show good reception. What we have to do to resolve is either renew the DHCP after putting wifi off and on, on the devices (sometimes work) or just restart the Airport Extreme.

There is nothing as far as interférence that could affect the Airport.

It can get complicated when you end up having so many routers..

Give us the screenshots of the setup from the airport utility.

I want to see how everything is connected.. what models and what firmware they all run.

So you might need to snap the summary pages and add that to the overall picture.

I do have suggestions to help this work .. mosts revolve around simple good network practice..

eg use short names.. NOT apple recommended names. Names of devices and wireless names.. and even passwords.. short, pure alphanumeric, no spaces. Passwords 8-20 characters are plenty mixed case and numbers only.

Then your next issue is Yosemite and new iOS playing peer to peer wireless games. It can be really poor and somehow need to prevent it from happening.

Problems in wireless with yosemite.

Don't expect this to be solved easily but if you put the effort into it.. you can certainly get it more reliable than it is now.
