Can you upgrade to Snow Leopard - fixed a bunch of stuff with earlier OS and reduced the footprint -
I am running Snow Leopard - but number of months ago dropped Safari in favor of OPERA browser -- I think Leopard still bundled it with Apple software but dropped it with snow leopard -- I pulled down the latest version - do like the fact that I can wipe all web data when if end Opera session.
PowerPC Macs can't be upgraded past 10.5.8(or 10.4.11 for G3s.)
