view photos not sorted into an album os x photos, iphoto photo stream

i have just migrated my iPhoto library to the new photos app, previously when syncing iPhone and mac pics each month iPhoto created a folder with month and year e.g. (march 2015 photo stream)

from this i could view the photos taken on my phone each month, sort them into albums and remove any unwanted ones. is it possible for photos app to continue doing this? if not is it possible to view only photos which are not sorted into albums?

i am currently using iCloud photo library, with iCloud photo sharing and my photo stream enabled on settings

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Photos will not create albums automatically like iPhoto created Events.

Smart album to view photos not in regular user created albums: This will not include smart albums since in reality, they are more search features and not real albums.

Syncing with My Photo Stream created monthly events with the automatically imported photos.

In the new Photos.app are no longer events; the events have been replaced by moments.

Now the import from My Photo Stream will show among the moments, according to the capture date and location.

You will no longer see new events for them. Any "events" you are seeing in the "iPhoto Events" folder in the "Album" section are fake. When you migrated your iPhoto Library, Photos created a new album for each of the events you had in your library.
