I want to download and install Yosemite. When I try to download it I see a drop down window saying, "Sign in to *********@hotmail.com to update applications for that account."
I have never heard of this email account. I am the only user on my computer. I am not trying to update yosemite. I want to install it. I'm currently running Lion 10.7.5
Does anyone have experience with this?

I bought it new, but it was recently stolen and recovered.
I tried to create a new user with admin privileges. Using this account I can see a log in drop down window to log into my apple account (This foreign email address is already there, but I can overwrite it with my own). When I try to login however, I get the message, "Unknown Error." After clicking ok I get another message, "There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later." This has been going on for a while now.
The thieves may have done things with the Mac. I would erase the HDD and reinstall the OS and then reinstall your data from a backup.
OS X Recovery -
I reinstalled the OS and I still have the same issue. I have several apple ids and I can log in and out of them, but when I try to download yosemite I am asked to login to this other account.
Tried to create a new apple id, but when I login and try to download Yosemite I get, "Sign in to *******@hotmail.com to update applications for that account." Can anyone help with this?
