I'm trying to important some normal jpg into my timeline but for some reason they always look weird when I try and drag them or import them in.
The photo in the bottom right is what it actually looks like but in the timeline it appears weird. How do I fix this!? Thanks in advance!

In Display in System Preferences, make sure Color is set to the default.
Tom's suggestion should solve it, but also it may be useful to know which version you are using: 10.2? I wonder if this bug may have been fixed in 10.2.1.
I have the same problem! I had already update the Finalcut Pro X to the newest verison. It always happen when editing PHOTO / FX with PHOTO. The output video also getting worst! But it is fine if editing footages only. WTH!

What is your system preferences Display Color setting?
same problem here. seems like a new bug! i resized the pictures in ps, saved it as psd and re-imported the files. that helped for me.

I Have no idea what means, but you absolutely can import PSD with multiple layers and transparency as long as they are properly made.
Same thing is happening to me. And I'm on a deadline. Apple is turning in to the next Microsoft. They used to me #1 in my world. They are going downhill and making a mess for people who spend quite a bit of money on their products.
What same thing? Are you using the correct display color the application is designed to work with? Or are you talking about something else? What isn't working for you? Give exact information about the media what you're doing and what happens when you do it.
