Is it possible or is there an app that increases the notification volume of received email in a gmail account? I want the lock screen notification sound to be much louder and longer in tone.

Hey eng1pager,
I see that you want to adjust your notification alert for Mail. You can adjust alerts such as this through the settings described in this link:
Set sound options. Go to Settings > Sounds for options such as ringtones and alert tones, vibration settings and patterns, and ringer and alert volumes.
