The pdf files saved over the last two days (only), when opened in Preview do not give me access to the Resize button in the Tools menu.
These are all pages (originally created in word) and saved with the SAVE AS PDF in the print menu. I have no idea what I may have done or not done, and am desperate. Can somebody please help me ?

Open the pdf
Cry because the resize button is greyed out
Go to file - export
Quartz filter - reduce in size - save
and then because I needed smaller jpegs,
File - export
Format - jpeg and voilà.

Sadly using Quartz filter to reduce in size makes the PDF's illegible to my recipient I only need to reduce from 1.1M to 1.0M to upload the file. Quartz filter makes an illegible 90K file in my case. ???
