Bootcamp with 2 disks

I will be installing bootcamp on my macbook pro which will have 2 disks. ( I will replace the superdrive)

So I was hoping I could load the OS onto my main ssd and then switch out the superdrive for a hard disk.

Could I then use the second disk for storing my applications, games, etc.?

Yes, you can. Please be aware of SATA speed issues on the Optibay drive. Windows must be installed with the SuperDrive in place, otherwise it will not install at all. Do not throw away your SuperDrive.
