apple email fraud

I was sent a notice that I purchased something from Itunes when I did not. It then asked for me to confirm my credit card information...which I did not. It was a very professional email with the Apple logo, fonts etc. They are going to get a lot of takers on this one. Apple...how can this be prevented?????
