Bug in 1.0.1 (Covering Watch during phone call)

Hello everybody,

I am sorry if there are any mistakes in the text. My native language is not English.

I 've got a problem with covering the Apple Watch with my hand during an incoming phone call to switch it to silent mode. This gesture works fine for notifications...I get an Feedback from the Taptic Engine after 3 sec. but it doesn't work with phone calls. I put my hand on the screen and the apple logo appears for 6 seconds...then there is the watch face again. It seems like a software crash during the gesture.

I don't know if the problem has occured before 1.01. I didn't test it before...

Do you have the same problem?

I did an reset and repairing but nothing has changed.

Thank you for your help.

A number of people have experienced this issue (watch restarting) when using Cover to Mute:

Re: crash when muting call on Apple Watch

Re: Why did my Apple Watch seemingly restart on its own?

Apple watch sport restarts unexpectedly when cover to mute call?

Anyone who is experiencing this can report it to Apple here:

In the meantime, the feature can be disabled:

iPhone Apple Watch app > My Watch > Sound & Haptics > Cover to Mute > toggle on/off
