How do I copy a table in Numbers (v3) to Pages (v5) in OS X Mavericks 10.9.5

Copy and paste function puts the copied table into a random format and in a random place when copied/pasted to Pages and cannot be moved.

Such a simple function - what am I missing?

Thanks in advance for advice...

Hi zebedee,

I don't know about the random format, but the random place may be due to "Stay on Page".

Here is a table copied from Numbers 3.5.3 and pasted into Pages 5.5.3

Select "Move with Text" to place the table within the text of your Pages document.

Also, have a play with "Text Wrap" to find a layout that suits you.

Please call back with further questions.

Ian.

Hi Ian (Yellowbox)

Many thanks for your response.

I must have different software as I have a different set of options to your screen shot...

There seems to be no options for object placement or stay on page.

There random format was it seems to drop lots of the columns and rows and places some of the data in the middle of the text already in the pages doc even when you place the cursor in the correct destination.
