M-Audio keystation 88 pro and logic pro

Hi boys and girls

I recently bought a the above mentioned keyboard which I use via garage band. Although I am a happy camper I was wondering whether Logic Pro would improve the keyboard's output as far as velocity and sound are concerned. With garage band sometimes the sound is muffled especially when I use the sustain pedal. Could anybody point me to the answer? Is velocity directly related to the sample used? I am mainly interested in piano sounds.

Thanks

PS: I am completely new to this game...

As it has also mentioned earlier, I also have a bit of a love hate relationship with the Pro88. The action isn't great, but I picked it up on eBay for a few hundred Aus dollars, so I love it. 😉
I haven't done any programming using it's accompanying software, or changed the settings on the unit itself. It just works.
Likes: The MMC trancsport commands work really well with Logic. The various controllers are easily learnt in logic, making for sme nifty programming options, directly from the keyboard itself.
Dislikes: The action (bit sh!tty). Occasionally it will drop out of my system, requiring a power cycle on the back of it.

AFA value for money goes, it is really really good!
