Looking to buy a new MacBook Pro - spec help

Hi there, I am currently needing a laptop for work and want something that will run high end games as well. I am not very computer savvy, so any help in specs would be appreciated.

I currently have a mid-2011 iMac 27" with

3.1 GHz Intel Core i5

12 GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 RAM,

AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1024 MB

The new MacBook Pro is:

2.5GHz quad-core Intel Core i7

Turbo Boost up to 3.7GHz

16GB 1600MHz memory

512GB PCIe-based flash storage1

Intel Iris Pro Graphics

AMD Radeon R9 M370X with 2GB GDDR5 memory

Is this new MacBook Pro more or less powerful than my iMac? Would this run games equal to or better than my current iMac? If better, how much better? I play a lot of MMOs and online games. Nothing insanely graphic intensive, but things like World of Warcraft, Diablo 3, Guild Wars 2, Star Wars The Old Republic and Final Fantasy 14. Thanks.
