When I enter an event into Calendar (OS 10.9.5), it instantly reverts back to "New Event", losing all the info I entered.

So I see that as of today at least 20 other people have this same issue. Maybe I don't understand how this is supposed to work. How many people have to click that button before someone from Apple Support will respond?
Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.
Or you can use your Apple ID to register with this site and go the Apple BugReporter. Supposedly you will get an answer if you submit feedback.
