FCPX newest version "share" option question

Hello, So I have the newrst version of FCPX and was curious,If I choose either "Master File" or "Export File" the file size is huge. Now if I choose Apple Devices 1080 or 720 I can't choose a location to where it goes. For example when I export with "Master File" I can choose where I want the filea destination to be. Which is my external hard drive. Whenever I choose Apple Devices 1080 or 720 it doesn't allow me to choose a destination and once it's done I can't find it.

Only reason I'm asking is because I upload videos to YouTube and when I choose "Master File" a majority of the time the file is huge which means uploading to youtube takes forever.

Any solutions?

I Obviously don't know what you did but the default behavior for Apple devices is to send it to iTunes from where it can be synced. There are separate share options for YouTube. A master file dies not have to be ProRes, which is the default, it can be a number of different options of QuickTime or MPEG-4 using H.264.

Hmmmmm is there a way to set a destination for the Apple Devices to export to my external? Instead of opening in iTunes? Also I don't want to use the YouTube share option because when exporting is not usually when I upload. I would just like it to be a smaller file size as well as setting the destination when exporting.

USe Apple Devices. In the Settings pane for Open With choose the QuickTime player. You will then get an option where to save the file. Also Do Nothing will give you a save location.

It worked so happy, thanks again. Only question I have is what is the difference from choose to export by pressing "computer" or "web hosting" I noticed the "computer option the file size was a tad bigger. But is there any difference in quality from choosing one or the other?
