My icloud email accounts can both send and receive fine. However, I have a business account (through my host's server) that can receive emails but not send. My outgoing email simply goes into the outbox and stays there forever. To reply to a client I have to copy their email, create a new email in my iCloud account, paste their message, and then respond to their inquiry. That is not an efficient workaround -- not to mention that it could be confusing to my clients who get an email from my personal account instead of my business account.
