Logging in to email saying it is already connected

When I recently got a new iPad I have been unable to log in to my email. When I try to log in it says that it is already connected to my device even though it isn't. I have turned on my mail on settings and it still doesn't work.

What is the name of your isp? What mail protocol are you using?


There are not many diagnostic procedures for the ipad. " it just works " so there is no need. 😉👿😀 Just joking. wish there was more. You could look in the console log. Follow the first few steps.

-- Re-boot ipad.

-- delete mail account.

-- Re-boot ipad.

-- redefind mail account


How to do a reboot. If that doesn't work you can try the backup and restore.


Re-boot ipad.


Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears, then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. page 128 iPad user manual.


force power down if the above give you trouble.

Hold down both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button. Ten seconds or more. Hold until the Apple logo appears.

Restore to factory settings by loading the latest version of ios that your machine will support:

Do a full backup of your device. Twice is best -- cloud and computer.
