Charging Problem

I have a 2011 MacBook Pro 13 inch running Yosemite.

As of today I've broken two chargers, and I'm not sure if the cause are the chargers themselves or my laptop. Earlier this week, my laptop shut down randomly and when I turned it back on, the charger failed to work. I tested the charger using my brother's MacBook using multiple outlets and it did not charge either. I assumed it was fluke. This was with an aftermarket off-brand charger. Today, the same thing happened, except it was with an OEM Apple charger this time. This leads me to believe my laptop is overloading the chargers (think blowing a fuse), but I am uncertain. Has anyone else had a similar problem and resolved it? Any help is greatly appreciated.
