Mail app on iPad keeps crashing on launch

I have had the same problem with Mail since 8,4.1, and now under IOS 9.

On my iPad 2 (old one). It will not launch ! Just a blank white screen, like it's trying to launch, for 6 seconds, then crashes back to the desktop. Has been happening since IOS 8,.4,.1 and has been reported to Apple many times by many people on this site.

... but you know, after following all the tips and things that you and others suggest, no, it still does not work! arrggghhh.

. . . and does Apple do anything, like actually fix this problem for the hundreds of people having it? No.

We just thrash about here, asking like many here, if anyone has had this problem. . . no help comes forth that actually works. So we just hack, hack, hack.... should not even have to do this, you know? .

This sure is frustrating, yes it is.

I am getting the same problem with with mail on my Ipad. its nothing to do with a faulty mail received. Its to do with the upgraded system that i down loaded yesterday on apple.

I would also like an answer about how to solve the issue as i can't open any mail on my iPad without it crashing.

HAd the same problem. Just turn internet off and try to open the app. Then if it open, just delete the last emails you got.

I tried all the suggestions above and still the mail crashes.... Any update please on suggestions to solve this problem?

It is possible to disable wifi in order to open the app but what's the point of a mail app that can't receive mail?
