itunes is not working

After the last upgrade my iTunes has stopped opening. I have to go into applications, show content and force it to open. It will not open when I click on the icon. Every time a new patch comes out I think it's going to be fixed, but it's not. When will this problem be solved or should we start looking for another solution? Is Apple discontinuing iTunes and not telling us?

When will it be fixed? I don't know, but a I have been posting this solution to this forum several times a day for the past week or so, so I guess you didn't look.


Normally you don't have to delete an old application when updating but this time it seems to be necessary for some.
