Question

is magsafe 2 85w covered by apple care?

My MagSafe 2 85W charger that came with the MacBook Pro I got last year has melted the insulation near the adapter. Can I get it replaced under a valid/current Apple Care agreement?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

The rubber on my chord near the joint got cut and exposed the wires inside. Covered it with insulation tape. The adaptor stopped working a year later.

Apple care isn't covering it.

Yes.

Falls under the same 1 year warranty or the extended warranty.
