My iPod turns on but Black Screen!!!! HELP!!

My ipod touch 4g was dropped into water about 9 monthes or so ago, by now you would think i threw it away or got a new one but that isnt the case i still have it and sometimes hook it to a charger for signs of life but none until today.......i hooked it to my charger and the screen stayed black the entire time but however there is life because i get charger noises when it is hooked to the charger...... How do i fix this keeping in mine my screen is cracked and my power button is jammed in?!?

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 6.1.6

Try:

Turn on without Home/Power Button

However, I suspect the iPod has to be replace/repaired. liquid contact can cause internal corrosion which can take a while to fully manifest itself.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $199 for 64 GB 4G and $99 for the other 4Gs. They do not fix yours.

I left it on the charger for about a half an hour after i posted this, i looked over at it and the screen came on before my eyes..... it has been working correctly since then.... but thank you for getting back with me so quickly!
