iphone 6 plus - this accessory may not be supported -works after reboot

My iphone 6 plus has recently starting displaying " this accessory may not be supported" when I plug in a charging cable. I have 4 or 5 charging cables that all used to work without issue on this phone an now all display this message. What's interesting is if I reboot my phone the cables will all work and charge the phone normally without displaying the message. Then the following evening the message will be displayed again. I have been having to reboot my phone every evening to be able to charge it. My ios software is fully up to date. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

Hi thepowersin1,

Thanks for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like you see an "accessory not supported" message when charging your iPhone 6 Plus, which goes away temporarily after restarting your device.

Since you're seeing this with multiple cables, I recommend trying the following steps from If you can’t charge your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

Make sure you’re using Apple-certified accessories and the right power source.

Look at the connector at the bottom of your device and make sure it’s free of debris, then reconnect the USB cable.

If these steps don't address the situation, you may need to contact Apple Support as mentioned in the article above:

If your device still doesn't charge or you still see an alert after trying the steps above, contact Apple Support.

Best Regards,

Jeremy
