Page orientation opposite in document sidebar

Imported a landscape docx with table in Pages 5.5.2 in Yosemite and it appears fine in the window. When I click on the document tab it show it is portrait. When I try to print it shows portrait view and cuts off half the table. If I select landscape in the document option, the page goes into the portrait view and when I try to print it is in landscape but the table is in portrait view and the top is cut off.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I fired up Pages 4.3 and everything worked fine. The orientation was as it should be. Glad I kept it around.

In case I was not being clear, below shows the rubric in landscape and the page orientation is checked as portrait. No one else ever had this problem?

Your screenshot correctly shows a page size of 11 by 8.5 in portrait orientation, but you are probably feeding the printer with 8.5 by 11 paper. (The document setup assumes that an 11 inch edge will feed first into the printer).

This is by no means the only reason to stick with Pages '09.

Yes, the printer is set to accept the 8.5 inch side, but look what happens when I try to print: it tries to print as portrait. There is nothing to change the orientation in the print window.

And if I check the landscape page orientation so it shows up as portrait in the work window:

As I get used to the new version it is ok to work with, but in this case, pages 9 was needed.
