Apple TV Zoomed in

I have a 2nd generation Apple TV and a Sony Bravia (KDL 52WL140) TV. When I try to watch anything on the Apple TV it is zoomed in. I have done research here and found that it "can't" be the Apple TV. I have gone through the TV manual and all of the zoom settings and have been unsuccessful in fixing. If I watch regular TV, a DVD or a Blue Ray, or if I stream videos through the XBox (netflix) I see the full screen (no zooming problem). I have reset the Apple TV and purchased a 3rd generation Apple TV and still it is zoomed in. This is a new phenomenon and it worked well previously.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Perhaps coincidently - earlier on the day this occurred I purchased a new iPhone 6 and had the settings to zoom in but I fail to see how this could possibly be connected.

Each input may be setup to have their own picture settings. As this is an issue with the TV it will be hard to help unless a user has that particular set or similar model.

Thanks but I don't think it's a problem with the TV when all other devices work well with it.

The only setting on Apple TV that would have any bearing is the resolution setting, otherwise it would be the TV (each input also has its own picture settings)
