how to remove bootcamp icon from Windows 7 taskbar
Bootcamp-OTHER, Windows 7
Is there a reason you want to remove it?
I have Dual-boot iMacs setup in a school and do not want the students (when using Windows) to be able to click on bootcamp in the taskbar and select restart in Mac OS. The systems startup in Windows as the default and I want that setting to stay. If they click on bootcamp in the taskbar they can change this default setting.
Do the students have Administrative Rights to the Windows side? By default Apple Drivers are installed for all users.
No, they don't. However.... when they log in their profile is created from a customized default user that I created that has admin rights. So I could make changes to the default user so that it reflects all students users that login to the computer.
Would you consider using an external OSX boot (network or external disk) when needed and remove OSX completely from these machines as an option?
