other devices can't find my network when i do "create network"

MacBook Air 11-inch, Mid 2011


when I use the create network tool in the wi-fi dropdown at the top of screen, and i create network, none of my friends devices can find it, no mater how close they are to my computer.


when i go to console this is what instantly appears when i create the network:

22/05/2015 5:31:44.318 pm netbiosd[8174]: network_reachability_changed : network is not reachable, netbiosd is shutting down

i dont think that the google drive is relevant but i just included everything.


i have restarted my computer but still the problem persists. please help
