Software Question

I have posted this same question on the App store but no success.

I'm looking for some type of software that will let me scan documents to store into a database. But what I also want is for the content of the document to be searchable. For example, if the scanned document has text, I can simply search for keywords in the document to narrow my search when searching for a document in the database. Is there any software out that can do this?

Any information is greatly appreciated.

I own DEVONThink (and really like it), but I'm not sure if you'll be able to do the things you want.

You can use it free on a trial basis as you learn its features. Contact DEVONThink forums for ways to make scanned documents more searchable.

That is why I linked to the search results page and only suggested the DEVONthink - there were several other results for the OP to check out.

Thank you all!

I downloaded DEVONthino and imported a few PDF documents and I can search for key words on the file name but not to content of the PDF doc.

if you find something like this please let me know.
