Beeping in garage band with USB mic

Hi. I'm new to garageband. So i bought a new simple microphone and a XLR to USB cable so i could plug it into my Macbook Pro
but theres this beeping noise everytime i open Garageband and i cant seem to get rid of it.

The mic works fine and the cables are fine, they are brand new.

My mac sees the microphone as USB PnP Sound Device

everything works fine until i open garageband and garageband even records the beeps.

There is a light on the USB that indicates when it is plugged in and connected with the computer but when i open Garageband it blinks. it continues to blink and beep even when the Mic is unplugged
