Hi,i've buyed yesterday a new iphone 6 16 GB,i activated it and on the apple site it doesn't appear like it is activated.They telll me

''Please activate your iPhone

We are unable to display coverage details because your iPhone has not been activated.
Please contact your iPhone retailer or wireless carrier to activate your iPhone.''

What should be the problem?

iPhone 6, iOS 8.3

Activation in iTunes is the same for both iPad and iPhone. But all that does is set the device up for basic functions and use with Apple's services and stores. It has nothing to do with setting up or activating cellular phone service with a cell phone service provider. You have to complete that second step which means contacting the cellular service provider you use or plan to use and setting up service with your new iPhone. Apple is not your cellular service provider.
