Q: Restore WITHOUT apps

So ive some apps that don't give me notifications. I've tried EVERYTHING, all my notifications are on etc. Its so annoying because if I want to know if have received say a whatsapp or snapchat, I have to go in and refresh the app.

My question is, can I wipe my phone, and not restore any of the apps, but I want to keep photos and messages??

Im thinking if my phone has no settings for these apps, I should just be able to redownload the app and start from fresh (even tho I have already deleted them and reinstalled but not from a restored phone).

Hi,
First try Reset all Settings in Settings> General > Reset.
You could also wipe your phone and set it up as new. How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups - Apple Support

Thanks. I have tried to reset the settings, it didn't work.
If I restore it and set it up as new I will lose all my messages and photos, and some of these are work relegated which I need

Yes, it erases everything, but first back up. You can restore from the backup. About backups in iCloud and iTunes - Apple Support
