I have two iTunes accounts and want to merge them. Is this possible?

HI,

I have two iTunes accounts and want to homeshare all the music I have, but currently can only use one half. If merging the two accounts is not possible, how can I change the Apple ID I have on my iPod, and if I have to do it this way, will I lose all the tunes I have purchased from that account?
