I can't send my audio text through iMessage, because the 'send' arrow is not responding when I tap on it.

I can prepare an audio text through iMessage (iPad 2) and all seems to work well, but the 'send' arrow in the circle dosn't respond when I tap on it (stays greyed out). Does anyone know how to activate this?

iPad 2, iOS 8.3
