May 22, 2015 8:22 AM in response to Debrap42by R C-R,Control-click on the photo in the email & select "Export to Photos" from the popup menu. But note that while this works well with Apple's Mail app, it may not work with other email client apps.

May 22, 2015 8:31 AM in response to Debrap42by Debrap42,Thanks, but not what I wanted to hear. This is an upgrade? Before Yosemite I could just hit the attachment icon and then hit save to iPhoto regardless of how many photos were sent.

No. Like I said, you can select multiple photos in the usual ways (with shift or command) to highlight them all, & then control or right click on any one of them to import them all.
