reinstall OS Xyesemetie will not load after being erased

I am selling it so it searched online how to get rid of all my personal information. I found out that I go into Disk Utilities then select McintoshDD....then hit erase. I did this and followed the instructions of shutting down then starting up holding the "option" button. It then says to set up my internet connection, so I did. Then a screen with and exclamation error comes up with -1006F underneath it now I can do nothing.
