Cannot install OSX it takes over 200 hours

I was trying to factory reset my MacBook pro [mid 2010], but when I try to reinstall OSX it just takes over 200 hours and growing, I've added a picture that shows over 100 hours but in the meanwhile the time estimation had been growing over 200 hours and almost over 300.... I have no idea what to do I was trying to restart the installation about 5 times already.

I tried disk first aid and the result came up ok.

I was also searching all over the internet with no solution found.

please help

those times are highly suspect. Let it run for an hour or so and see if something realistic takes it's place

all that aside my last install was about 13 hours over a corporate T1 on weekend hours when no one is on it.

wired connection, the speed is about 50 MB

I decided to reset because it felt like its been too long without a reset and the computer was filled with junk files, no particular problem.

also, i was running a diagnose via first aid tool at disk utilities, and the diagnostic came up okey.

I have let it work for a few hours now, the hours dropped to 41 hours.

i have to state that the progress bar JUMPED to full the second after i posted this post, and it is in the same position since then.

How are you connected to the internet? By ethernet or WiFi? What's the speed of your connection?

i restarted the installation and let it work for the night, it now like this:

i bet its been like this for hours...

i also cannot cancel that...

As stated it should install in about an hour on a reasonable internet connection. If its still reading 100 hours it just might be a hard drive issue. Run diagnostics on the hard drive. Did you decide to restore the macbook because of a problem?

This is all happening when you select the recovery partition and select install Mac OS x correct. Do you have access to another Mac where you could try and create a usb installer. If you do and also have this type of issue I would have a diagnostic run to verify the Macbook.

You can make a bootable USB stick to install using this free program which will do all the work for you.
