Hi Steve. iPhoto has been replaced by Photos. This came as a result of the Yosemite upgrade and subsequent software updates. Photos icon appeared in my dock to replace the "missing" iPhoto icon. When I launched Photos the content of my iPhoto migrated to Photos. Launchpad still shows the iPhoto icon but a dialog box appears requesting a library selection. Photos on the laptop now looks a lot like the mobile version. If your dock does not show Photos it should be in your app folder. Hope this helps -- Jim
iPhoto is still in your Applications folder, although it might to be updated.
How to get iPhoto 9.6.1 if you didn't update before OS X10.10.3.
