Tried making tone now original song is gone in iTunes Library

So I shall preface this with Tone maker, I am not.

I followed the instructions from this article: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/10/02/make-free-ringtone-iphone_n_5901540.htm l

Then when I went back to my library to play the original "full length" song it was gone and nowhere to be found, including the trash.

This is what I get for trying to be crafty.

If anyone could help me by retrieving my original song, I would greatly appreciate it. I also tried going under options and resetting the start and stop time to the original length but it won't save.
