why is share disabled in pages
Pages now that I am on Yosemite, is not sharing via e mail, why?

Pages '09 v4.3 uses a different internal means to summon the Mail application than is now implemented on Yosemite. The last update to Pages '09 was in Dec. 2012. As Pages '09 was never developed to work with Yosemite, this Share to Mail inoperability does not surprise me at all. Probably more will follow as time progresses.
