Applications won't delete

I recently installed 2 programs from the internet (wine bottler and filezilla). I have no use for them now so I want to delete them. Normally, when I delete a file I just drag it to the trash and it asks if I want to delete it. But for this, every time I drag it to the trash, nothing happens. The applications still show up on my Launchpad. I also tried searching for the fie name and moving the file to the trash. It goes to the trash and so I empty it. But the application still does not do away. I'm using OS X 10.10 btw.
