Q: My recent calls appearing on another iPhone!?

Hi,

Hopefully you can help.

I use my phone for business and we have noticed in the last few days that all of the calls I make and receive are appearing in my wife's iPhone recent call history?

I have hunted high and low in settings on both phones but with no joy.

It is only affecting calls i make, not the other way round? so i am not seeing calls my wife makes on her phone in my recent call history?

It is also not affecting text messages...

We are both using the same iCloud account but the inconsistencies above suggest its something more involved (or very simple!)

The slightly odd thing is that it only seems to do it when my phone is at home, i went out this afternoon and the calls made/received have not appeared on her history. so maybe its a wifi thing?...but...

I also phoned vodafone when i got home to see if they could help (they couldn't!) and that short dial number is also not appearing on her history?

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.3

Good, then you have a link to one of them and an excerpt, right?

Been there, done that.  Please learn how to read.

If you had read, you would have seen that I never said I shared an account - I have multiple devices on the same account.  You do understand the difference, right?  But from the bugs perspective, it doesn't matter. It's mingling call history between devices which is causing a problem.  It's unwanted whether or not it's one user or ten.

Where did you hear that I'm sharing an account? You really don't read the transactions, do you!

If you're not, then but out of this thread and go start your own. You're off topic.

However, you have repeatedly made reference to people who do share accounts. What people are mostly referencing is this:

"People who share Apple IDs with others probably know full well what is shared - that's why they share it."

    Do you deny posting that?

That's also part of the design but I'm sure that you don't want to hear that.

Like Tim said, please go and start a thread describing your alleged problem,

That seems to be the solution for the literacy-challenged.

So that's conjecture rather than your experience then.

    Have a truly nice day.

Perhaps you can point to where Apple has acknowledged that this is a bug, I've seen no such information from Apple.

    >> If you're not, then but out of this thread and go start your own. You're off topic.

Actually not - if you had read this thread, you would have seen some users (e.g. skwirl from May 28h) who have multiple devices on their own account as well as multiple users (OP).  From a technical point of view, it doesn't matter - it's not intended behavior in either case.  For those who are interested, take a look at Apple's documentation on iCloud and what it provides at the following links:
    http://help.apple.com/icloud/?lang=en#/mm2038548b
http://help.apple.com/icloud/?lang=en#/mmfc0efea4 Nowhere does Apple mention in its documentation that the call history across devices is shared.  And nobody has ever pointed any documentation to substantiate this idea.

Not at all - I was making the observation that folks who posted here and claimed they were sharing an iCloud account with other users knew full well they were sharing photos, etc.  They just didn't want the call history shared because it makes no sense from either a single user or multiple user perspective.  But as you can tell, I never said I was sharing devices with another user.

Good, then you have a link to Apple documentation showing this.  I posted two links in another reply showing it was not.
