Q: My recent calls appearing on another iPhone!?

Hi,

Hopefully you can help.

I use my phone for business and we have noticed in the last few days that all of the calls I make and receive are appearing in my wife's iPhone recent call history?

I have hunted high and low in settings on both phones but with no joy.

It is only affecting calls i make, not the other way round? so i am not seeing calls my wife makes on her phone in my recent call history?

It is also not affecting text messages...

We are both using the same iCloud account but the inconsistencies above suggest its something more involved (or very simple!)

The slightly odd thing is that it only seems to do it when my phone is at home, i went out this afternoon and the calls made/received have not appeared on her history. so maybe its a wifi thing?...but...

I also phoned vodafone when i got home to see if they could help (they couldn't!) and that short dial number is also not appearing on her history?

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.3

Glad you agree, now why don't you go fix your Outlook problems, I am sure that you will be able to understand them if you read the manual.

    Bye

Not sure what you are talking about, but you as well as others seem to make things up so I shouldn't be surprised.

LOL, talk about a 4 year old unrelated post - is that really the best you can do?  Again, I'm not surprised.  Folks can read and make up their own minds...

Couldn't understand simple things then, seems to be a long term issue.

Post back when you feel like it.

The only thing simple is that rather than discussing issues, you are engaging in ad-hominem behavior.  It's ok, it's really funny that you do this because it illustrates brilliantly where you are coming from.

this is a really long thread.  I saw a squirrel about 4 pages in and got lost for a while.   Anyway, where was I?

Oh ya, I did read several conflicting opinions about bug / no bug bla bla bla, no sharing user ID's, etc etc, over and over and over again.  The sense I get from all this reading is that call history syncing is normal behavior between devices sharing an Apple ID and should be expected.

I happen to like syncing call histories between all my devices, (2 iPhones, iPad, iPod and Mac) but it doesn't work consistently.  What am I doing wrong?  iOS 9.1 on all the small things, El Capitan on my Mac.

Start a new thread, this one is irrevocably contaminated.

Right, so there is a bug somewhere wouldn't you say?  If you can find any documentation showing that call history across devices on an iCloud account is expected behavior, I'll be most grateful.  To me, if someone wanted call-history shared, they would forward their calls to their other devices.  Almost everyone who has posted in this thread complaining has made the observation that this behavior started at some point in time whereas before it behaved differently.  In the meantime, we'll all all be unhappy at the results no matter which way we'd prefer it because of the undeterministic nature which amazingly some claim is not a bug..

I see our expert has stepped in to help you.

    Good luck.

Hopefully I don't need an expert.  Just wondered what settings I should change to make sure I get the call histories on all devices.  Its not intuitive, at least to me.   Its not a deal-breaker, its just not typical of my experience with Apple products.

First, it only works by Chance sometimes on some devices in some directions, ...

And it is senseless for some users with more then on private devices, for work and private.

So or so, I opened a ticket at Apple and beside the useres here, who do not have the problems or wiches and are only in this thread to fill the pages with their Apple-ID stuff or "Go away"-phrases, please ignore them and open Support tickets as well, because there are currently no ways to turn this off beside finally switch off iCloud documents/drive. For some facetime, ring on other devices, owner info works, but not for me. Therefor I opened such ticket and hope that all the other do the same. Perhaps they kill this bug/Feature or at least build in a Switch for this.

Thanks arganto for posting this - I hope folks do open support requests to Apple.  If I find anything out, I'll keep you updated.

Whether or not you're supposed to, I certainly don't care. It worked before, if anyone has an answer to get it to work again the way it used to, then awesome. If your answer is to not share IDs, then move along, I'm not interested.
