Q: My recent calls appearing on another iPhone!?

Hi,

Hopefully you can help.

I use my phone for business and we have noticed in the last few days that all of the calls I make and receive are appearing in my wife's iPhone recent call history?

I have hunted high and low in settings on both phones but with no joy.

It is only affecting calls i make, not the other way round? so i am not seeing calls my wife makes on her phone in my recent call history?

It is also not affecting text messages...

We are both using the same iCloud account but the inconsistencies above suggest its something more involved (or very simple!)

The slightly odd thing is that it only seems to do it when my phone is at home, i went out this afternoon and the calls made/received have not appeared on her history. so maybe its a wifi thing?...but...

I also phoned vodafone when i got home to see if they could help (they couldn't!) and that short dial number is also not appearing on her history?

Well, the mingling seems to have just stopped for no apparent reason.  My test of calling one phone and seeing it appear on the other phone no longer is successful!  Either the changes I made with FaceTime took 24 hours to take effect or Apple fixed something in iCloud.  I'm a winner either way!  Can someone verify if they are still having the problem?   if it restarts happening, I'll let you know.

@JAta2: Just stop the helpless discussion with Csound and Philly. They both have fun (and to much time?) to write helpless/useless things here over and over in the thread. No one knows, why.

I see that you have a tremendous history of helping others with their problems.

That's great. Yeah, the issue on my phone is still gone. I'm feeling pretty good that it won't come back for me.

    THank you.

    I found your solution...

THANK YOU!!!! This is THE ONLY thing that was left for me to try. Gives me hope

    And for all....

FaceTime - Turn off Cellular Calls does NOT work

iMessage and FaceTime are already separated out

Hands Off Apps - turning off also does NOT work (by itself anyways)

Crossing my fingers and will update as soon as I get confirmation that it is working.

I followed Up this Diskussion as I have the Same Problem weithin my Family.

SEsterday I Trier to fix it with the Family SoluZion from Apple. Sounds everything Great but it is not really Working!

    1) I have a Cloud with 1TB !! All our devices are Backupd in the cloud !

Each Member of the Family needs a own Apple ID, my wife (the First I started with) has now just 5GB Cloud!!!

    2) The Picture Stream is now gone..........

The Family Album is nice , but it is not More then a Handmade Stream! Means each Picture has to be Put pic by Pic in the Family Stream!

After seeing this Problems I see thaht the Family Thing is Not Working!!!!

I am not willIng to buy for my wife and my doughter an extra Space in the Cloude, and Finaly we hav nö chance to Share things together anymore.

So it is still NecessaRs for Apple to solve the problem with the Share of the phonelist! It is soooooo easy! A Switch, "LIKE to Share Phonelist with your otherwise devices" Y/N

I was able to fix the problem by shutting off ICloud Drive in the settings menu of both devices.

This for sure!  If you don't use the ICloud You don't have the problem, because the Phoncall List is ssved in the cloud. Without cloud no problem

The solution posted by paulfromwatertown was specifically referring to one aspect of iCloud - iCloud Drive. This in no way is recommending that one should abandon iCloud in total. Without iCloud altogether, you lose Find My iPhone security, the ability to sync Contacts, Calendars, & Mail, the ability to share photos via Photo Stream or iCloud Photo Sharing.

So, no, not using iCloud is not the solution. Turning off a single feature is.

Did you really even need to reply to anything with that comment? Not really easy wading through almost 40 pages of posts that are really not the solution.

But what about this one..  also from Apple:

Use the same Apple ID for both Store purchases and iCloud (recommended)

Where do the lines get drawn between 'sharing' and the fact that I have two separate devices that both belong to me?
