Jul 15, 2015 12:28 PM in response to Jbbttusmuby Builder1,★HelpfulAs I have said before I have 10 devises on my iCloud account. Everything has always worked well until recently. Of the 10 devises. 2 of these are my phones (I have a work iPhone and a personal iPhone) I am getting missed call messages on both of my phones (example: a missed work call is showing on my personal phone and vise versa.). The whole reason I have 2 phones for myself is so I am not mixing work and personal calls, I liked keeping them separate!) the 8 other devises on my iCloud account do not seem to be having this problem of sharing missed call history.
The fact is, I think I speak for all of us who are sharing iCloud with our families... we did not have this issue until recently. I have had my whole family on the same iCloud account since the beginning. It all worked smoothly until this issue popped up. Telling me not to share my iCloud is not helpful. I am going to continue to share my account with my wife and kids. I am not going to spend hours trying to set all 10 of my apple devises to their own account then spend more time trying to set them all up on family share. I don't have time for this, so I'm not going to do it. Even if I was willing to do all this work. I would still want to keep my 2 phones on the same iCloud account, thus not solving my problem.
I would like to hear from someone who can help me get my devises and iCloud to work as it had been working for many years prior to this problem. We are seeking a fix to our situation without needing to switch all of our devises to separate accounts. TiltedKim, your your repeated comments to not share iCloud accounts are not helpful. Telling me to live with consequences is also not helpful. If you do not have a suggestion as to how we can correct this problem so our devises work while sharing an account (as they had worked perfectly this way for many years) then please move on to another discussion. Apple allows 10 devises on an iCloud account and up until recently that has worked very well. Thank you

Yes, but that's intended for devices with the same owner/user. I have four devices using the same ID but I am one person. Any Apple ID sharing among different individuals is always a mistake and, while it will work on occasion, it will eventually cause problems.
However, do as you wish.

Jul 15, 2015 12:39 PM in response to Philly_Phanby Builder1,That last sentence is a bit out of context.
I am the same owner and user... They are both my phones. I own and use both of them exclusively. No one else. I carry both of them in my pocket together! I get a missed call on one phone and is shows on the screen of the other. Thanks!

Correct. Times change. Prior to 8.2 there were no services designed to share between different devices on the same account, except for contacts, calendars and notes, plus data and backup space. A whole raft of features were added in 8.3 and 8.4, including Continuity and Photo sharing. These have changed the meaning of sharing on an iCloud account. Apple knew this, so they also introduced Family Sharing, so you wouldn't have to share an Apple ID across different people to share music and apps. Because of these new features, you need to change the way you think and work. If you aren't willing to do that you will have issues.

Jul 15, 2015 12:51 PM in response to Builder1by Philly_Phan,On each phone...
Contacts > Your Name with "me" in light text to the right.
My WAG is that both phone numbers are listed.
I'm kinda guessing here because, of my four devices, only one is a phone. My first suggestion is that you delete the "wrong" phone number. However, my gut feel is that it will repopulate. You may have to go to plan "B" - give yourself two names, perhaps one with a middle initial or one with "Joe" instead of "Joseph" or something comparable to that. Make sure that "me" is "Joe" on one phone and "Joseph" on the other phone.
Edit...
For an understanding of why this happened, read Lawrence's post.

Jul 15, 2015 12:51 PM in response to Jbbttusmuby 12LiGaYa13,Hi there!
Have you checked your SETTINGS➡️PHONE➡️CALL FORWARDING???
Coz' it's like CALL DIVERT, depends also with your own choice:
Divert to number _________,
If,
...unanswered
...busy
...mobile off
(blah... blah... blah...)
Just try, then try to check with your wife if it still the same.
Otherwise, RESET ALL SETTINGS will do the trick!

Jul 15, 2015 1:59 PM in response to Jbbttusmuby moneymajak,I too suddenly started having this issue on my phone today. I call my wife, she doesn't pick up, a missed call from me shows up on my phone! I did not update or sync or change any setting today on my phone or my wife's. I also share my AppleID with all my family members for iCloud also. All my settings are set as suggested here.
I guess it's Apple's way of pushing 'Family Sharing...' on consumers. Doesn't look like there is a choice...I just read about 'Family Sharing' and I am convinced. Looks like it has it's advantages. Even though I have to go thru the pain of setting up all the phones, it seems to be worth it. I'll give it a try. I hope I don't lose any default family sharing that I depend on now. Luckily I don't use two phone personally like Builder1.
But this sudden change in behavior (which worked for years as everyone says here) is really annoying! I hope there is some setting somewhere that prevents this from happening.

Absolutely. MS-DOS worked great for years and the change to Windows is really annoying.

Jul 15, 2015 5:38 PM in response to northfamily5by Alan Chen,| We have 4 iphones and 3 are having this issue.
I just noticed that my wife's phone and my phone is doing the same thing.
I think comments saying to split the apple IDs are unhelpful, if 4 iphones are setup with the same ID, but only 3 are sharing call logs, then that's a strong case that there is some bug. Either they should all be sharing the calls and its a feature, or this sharing is behavior and none of them should be sharing recent call entries.

Jul 15, 2015 5:44 PM in response to Alan Chenby Lawrence Finch,Recent Call listings are only shared when a call is made on one device, and there are other devices sharing an Apple ID that are currently connected to the same WiFi network.
